We are filled with sadness at Sunila’s passing and with immense gratitude for all of her work and devotion to human rights. We learned so much from her through the years, through her advocacy at the international level for peace and justice and her organizing to bring real change to communities on the ground. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and to all whose lives she has touched.

Many of us had the opportunity to meet, work and stand with Sunila. As we look back, we see those moments as truly beautiful – shared among those dedicate their lives to the struggle for human rights and service to country and to humanity. Sunila’s spirit will live with us for as long as we continue to fight for that dream and aspiration of human rights and dignity for our people.

FORUM-ASIA which Sunila served in various capacities –- is initiating a book signing which will take place at the FORUM-ASIA office from until 15 October 2013. You are invited to personally sign the book at the FORUM-ASIA office or you may send your message or tribute to [email protected]. If you have photographs of Sunila, it will be very much appreciated if you can share them with the family, through this book.

Sunila’s spirit will live with us for as long as we continue to fight for that dream and aspiration of human rights and dignity for our people.

The book will be delivered to the family of Sunila after 30 October.
