On 25-26 October 2016, the Asian NGO Network on National Human Rights Institutions (ANNI) will host its annual regional conference entitled ‘Challenges and Opportunities in the Strengthening and Establishment of National Human Rights Institutions in Asia’, in Bangkok, Thailand. This year’s ANNI Regional Conference will be held in parallel to the 21st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Asia Pacific Forum of NHRIs (APF), during which ANNI representatives will be present on NHRI-NGO Dialogue Session. This session held by APF will be an opportunity for ANNI to receive follow-up and updates from APF regarding previous ANNI Formal Inputs into APF Strategic Plan 2015-2020 submitted on 3 September 2014.

The Conference will also serve as an occasion to launch the 2016 ANNI Report on the Performance and Establishment of NHRIs in Asia. This latter activity will be conducted both at ANNI Conference and AGM of APF where ANNI representatives are invited to NHRI-NGO Dialogue Session.
