2017 Dublin Platform for Human Rights Defenders at Risk

From 17-19 October 2017, FORUM-ASIA will attend the 2017 Dublin Platform for Human Rights Defenders at Risk organised by Front Line Defenders. The gathering brings together some 100 human rights defenders at risk from around the world. It will also be attended by national, regional, and international civil society organisations.

During the platform gathering various issues will be discussed, such as: the pattern of attacks against human rights defenders; practical measures to ensure their protection; the role of social media; and building legitimacy within communities as a form of protection of human rights defenders.
