👊🏻@forum_asia reiterates its deep concern over the passage of the new national security law in #HongKong. The law threatens to erode #fundamentalrights and freedoms. We are in solidarity with the people of Hong Kong and urge the intl. community to scrutinise this legislation.

FORUM-ASIA member from India, Banglar Manabadhikar Surakksha Mancha (MASUM) published its monthly human rights report for February 2018.

In February, MASUM conducted 7 fact finding missions, and filed complaints before the relevant authorities and human rights institutions. Out of 7 fact finding missions and subsequent complaints; four about torture committed by Police, one about torture committed by Border Security Force personnel, one about marginalization of enclave dwellers and one about mistreatment of accused being produced before legal courts.
