Public Event on Human Rights in ASEAN: Assessing the 10 Years Evolution of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR)

2019 marks the 10-year anniversary of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR); a timely opportunity to assess and review AICHR’s promotion and protection function. FORUM-ASIA launched two reports that aim to evaluate the effectiveness of AICHR’s response in protecting human rights.

Together with the Embassy of Netherland in Jakarta, FORUM-ASIA is pleased to share the result of CSOs and academic review on the performance of the AICHR from 2009-2019 in a Public Event on Human Rights in ASEAN. The event shall highlight milestones, challenges, opportunities and recommendations in light of AICHR’s 10 year evolution.
