8 March is celebrated across the world as International Women’s Day. It is a day intended to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. A day also to remind all of the indispensable role the women’s movement, women’s rights organisations and individual women human rights defenders have and continue to play in promoting and protecting human rights.

To learn from success stories and embrace good practices that advance women’s rights, FORUM-ASIA is consolidating its publications developed over the last years. On 2-8 March, we will share a series of posters that highlight issues related to women’s rights and women human rights defenders on this page and social media (FACEBOOK and Twitter).
