To increase the impact and effectiveness of Asian human rights defenders and civil society’s advocacy in the UN, particularly the UN Human Rights Council, we have established an office in Geneva focusing on UN advocacy since 2008.

Through FORUM-ASIA’s presence in Geneva and experience of engaging with UN human rights mechanisms, we have enabled Asian human rights defenders and civil society to advocate with UN human rights mechanisms, with ownership and direct participation, towards the promotion and protection of human rights in Asia.

The 47th Regular Session of the UN Human Rights Council will take place from 21 June to 13 July, click here to follow FORUM-ASIA’s interventions on the human rights situation in Asia.
