Book launch: civil society proposal on ASEAN instrument on migrant rights

Task Force on ASEAN Migrant Workers will publish the book "Civil
Society Proposal: ASEAN Framework Instrument on the Protection and
Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers" on 14 December 2009. The
task force will organise an event on the day to present the book at the
Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand in Bangkok (The time to be
announced soon).

Task Force on ASEAN Migrant Workers will publish the book "Civil Society Proposal: ASEAN Framework Instrument on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers" on 14 December 2009. The task force has conducted two-year bottom-up consultation to gather inputs from civil society groups in ASEAN. The proposal, presented during the 6th ASEAN Senior Officials Labour Meeting (SLOM) held in Vientiane, Laos, is the milestone of all the consultations at national levels.The book includes all the documents related to the consultations.
