{mosimage}This is a collection of statements and reports compiled in March 2005, after the takeover of executive powers by the king of Nepal, making the country a near-absolute monarchy.

It is divided into three sections: the first comprises statements by the Nepalese government and media reports by major international news agencies. The second contains various public statements on the crisis by local, regional and international actors, the United Nations and governments. The third section deals with reports by international organisations and lists arrested Nepali people, including political activists and human rights defenders.
