BANGLADESH – Implement the Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace Accord fully!

is a worldwide campaign calling for implementation of the Chittagong
Hill Tracts Peace Accord. The group is circulating a petition in the
form of a letter to the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to set
forth and carry out a time-bound roadmap for full implementation of the
Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Peace Accord, including resolution of all
land conflicts, withdrawal of all temporary military camps, transfer of
administrative powers to the hill district councils and regional
council and rehabilitation of returnee refugees and internally
displaced hill people.

Since
the start of armed conflict in the 1970's, the indigenous Jumma peoples
of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh, have suffered from military
oppression, violence, massacres and land grabbing by settlers. Please
