National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) Programme Associate

FORUM-ASIA is hiring an NHRI (National Human Rights Institution) Programme Associate for its ANNI (Asian NGO Network on National Human Rights Institutions) Programme in Bangkok, Thailand. The ideal candidate should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in the field of human rights or a related subject such as politics, social sciences, international relations, international law, or Asian studies; a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of human rights – preferably with national and regional/international NGOs working in the field of human rights; in-depth understanding of the overall socio-political situation as well as the human rights situation in the Asia region; good knowledge of the work of NHRI in the Asia region and its mechanisms, good report writing ability and organisational strategising and planning, using Result Based Management (RBM) or Logical Framework Analysis (LFA) tools. Human Rights Defenders Programme – (HRD) Programme Officer

FORUM-ASIA is looking for a Programme Officer for its Human Rights Defenders (HRD) Programme. The ideal candidate should have at least a Bachelors degree or higher in the field of human rights or a related subject such as law, politics, social sciences, international relations, development studies or Asia studies; mature personality with ability to work in a multicultural and demanding working environment with cross-programme coordination; minimum four years of work experience in the field of human right, preferably in the context of both national and regional/international NGOs, with at least two years of this experience specific to HRD programme/project in Asia; excellent interpersonal and public presentation skills in English both oral and  written; preferably, knowledge of at least one Asian language would be an asset.
