Director (Operations and Resource Mobilisation)

FORUM-ASIA is hiring a Director (Operations and Resource Mobilisation). The Director will be a member of the Senior Management Team headed by the Executive Director.

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • A minimum of eight years of directorial level management experience in a human rights and/or development organization in any of the countries of Asia
  • A minimum of seven years of leadership-level work experience in international human rights/development civil society organisations in multi-cultural settings
  • Excellent domain knowledge and experience of resource mobilization, project development and implementation and organizational management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • Proficiency in one or more Asian languages
  • An advanced degree in human rights or related field of development studies or social sciences

The director should have competencies and proven experiences to address the following two needs of FORUM-ASIA:

  • Fund raising and resource mobilization to further strengthen FORUM-ASIA as a leader membership centric organization working towards building a strong human rights movement in Asia
  • Strengthening FORUM-ASIA’s operational capacities in terms of internal program, financial and personnel administration

FORUM-ASIA is hiring an Intern for its South Asia Programme in Kathmandu, Nepal. The ideal candidate should have at least a Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in international human rights law, political/social sciences, Asia studies or relevant field; some practical knowledge about international human rights standards, mechanisms and practices; some experience in organising or planning meetings/conferences or campaigning; good drafting and research skills would be an asset. FORUM-ASIA is hiring an Intern for its ANNI Programme in Bangkok, Thailand. The ideal candidate should have at least a Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of human rights or a related subject such as politics, social sciences, international relations, international law, or Asian studies; some practical knowledge about NHRIs as well as international human rights standards, mechanisms and practices; some experience in organising or planning meetings/conferences or campaigning; good drafting and experience in online communications would be an asset.
