ASEAN Advocacy Research Consultant

FORUM-ASIA is hiring a Consultant to prepare a report on the Performance of the AICHR and the ACWC in 2017. The objective of the assignment is to produce a critical assessment of the work of the AICHR and the ACWC in 2017 and to present findings and observations in a form of report for FORUM-ASIA. The report will be used as an advocacy document to promote more effective and independent AICHR and ACWC.

The Consultant must have proven experience of human rights research and advocacy, particularly in the area of ASEAN and regional human rights mechanisms. Administration Associate (IT Support) Part Time

FORUM-ASIA is hiring an Administration Associate (IT Support) in Bangkok, Thailand. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field; a minimum 2 years work experience in IT related works; mature personality, ability to work in a multicultural and demanding working environment with cross programme coordination; proficient in My SQL; deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API’s and some knowledge about NextCloud and Dockers would be an asset. Short-Term Consultancy (Evaluation)

FORUM-ASIA is hiring a Consultant to assess FORUM-ASIA’s performance and achievements against the objectives of the projects it has implemented over the years, and to summarise results against the organisation-wide results framework, particularly against the four objectives discussed in Section 3 of the TOR; and to review the progress made against recommendations of previous evaluations that have looked at both programme-related as well as organisational development (OD) aspects.

The ideal candidate should have an adequate understanding of human rights, accountability, gender equality and social inclusion, gender mainstreaming, and organisational development/management; good knowledge of human rights based approaches to advocacy campaigns and social movements linked to social transformation in general and human rights protection and promotion in particular; expected to have an adequate understanding of institutional governance, and capacity building of civil society organisations, and past experiences of involvement in similar areas of work would be an assest.
